A Warm Welcome
At Factored, we believe in turning challenges into opportunities, and that’s exactly how Nerdapalooza came to life. Back in the winter holidays of 2019, with only two months of cash left in the bank and limited prospects for cash generation, our team faced a tough predicament. While other startups were throwing lavish holiday parties fueled by VC cash, we were unable to join in the festivities. However, instead of dwelling on what we lacked, we made a promise to ourselves: when we started thriving, we would host the most epic parties the data world had ever seen. And thus, Nerdapalooza was born.
Fast forward four years, and what began as a hopeful idea during a challenging time has transformed into a monumental celebration and a symbol of unity for our team and our mission. At Nerdapalooza, we come together to do more than just party – we play music, dance, laugh, learn, and inspire each other with AI and data science projects and ideas.
Our team has grown exponentially, to the point where traditional venues can no longer contain our collective energy. Now, we find ourselves celebrating in warehouse-sized concert venues and school arenas. Despite our rapid growth, we have remained true to our roots, working remotely while staying close to our families, friends, and local communities.

For young teams facing similar challenges, our advice is simple: ignore the naysayers and non-believers.
